Frequently Asked Questions

About the Process of Therapy

How long will I be in therapy?

It's hard to know how long someone will be in therapy. If the issue is long-standing, it may take longer to heal. Some people find that therapy is an essential part of their regular self-care. As we work together, we will get a feel for how close you are getting to your goals. I frequently work with eating disorder recovery, and this recovery process can take several months up to a few years.

How often will I need to meet with a therapist?

Typically therapy is once per week.  As you progress, therapy will decrease until you and your therapist agree that you are stable and ready to end therapy for the time being.

Do you take insurance?

We don't do direct insurance billing, so that means we are usually considered an out-of-network providers for most insurance providers. We can provide you a receipt for your sessions called a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Call your insurance company and ask your benefits for an out-of-network mental health provider.

How do I pay for sessions and what are your fees?

Fees are due at the time of service. Our clients keep a credit card in the portal that is automatically charged every time they have a session. Session fees range from $200-$260.
